Kitaabo 2019 – The Blue City Children’s Literature Fest

It is an absolute pleasure to invite you to Kitaabo’s fourth edition.
We’d like to thank and appreciate your school children’s enthusiastic participation and feedback due to which we get inspired to continue this immense effort.

Please note this year’s details:

  • Dates: 17th,18th and 19th of December 2019
  • Time: 9.00am – 4.00pm
  • Venue: Vidyashram International School, Jodhpur, Rajasthan

We’re hoping to send across the schedule of the sessions and other details at earliest.

As the countdown draws closer, we would like to inform you that like last few years, we’re expecting 75+ talented resource people from all across India who excel in their fields. They will conduct around 300 sessions across the three days.

We bring you all kinds of literary and art related sessions. Author interactions, storytelling, poetry, arts and crafts workshops, music, dance, talks, open discussions, doodling, cinema, theatre, nukkad natak, open mic, board games, puppetry, creative writing and other exciting sessions.

Other highlights for this year include:

  • ‘Debato’: Debating masterclass and competition from the school of meaningful experiences
  • Award winning children’s films from MAMI festival, Mumbai to be screened along with associated workshops.
  • The Annual Literary Kitaabo Quiz sponsored by Amar Chitra Katha.
  • Staging of plays by Tamaasha theatre , Mumbai and Creashakthi , Chennai

Authors attending Kitaabo will be signing their books for those interested, which can be bought along with other books from leading publishing houses at our book stalls.

The journey has been so rewarding every year as we see the happy faces of the children exploring, learning and expressing themselves.
